A Mother’s Testimony

Posted on August 8, 2008

The following testimony is from an amazing family at my church. God’s hand is truly upon their family and ministry.Dena, the mother, has founded a homeschool program called LightShine that ministers to children in San Antonio - . Check out her testimony. I know you’ll be amazed by God’s grace and protection.

Dear Friends and family,

Thank you so much for all your prayers Friday and Saturday for our 3 year old baby girl Lauren. The Lord absolutely spared her life Friday afternoon as she had a near drowning experience while swimming at a friends house. Her lungs and passage ways had shut down when she was pulled out of the water and was not breathing until 3-4 puffs of air were given to her. 911 was called and she was transported to the emergency room were they placed her in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit over night to regulate her breathing and for observation over a portion of right lung that had shut down. I’m not sure of all the medical terms. The next morning she was released and sent home with no problems at all!!!!!! Truly a miracle! Read more

Antonio’s Healing

Posted on June 30, 2008

Written by his mother - Adriana Alvaradorivera

On Tuesday morning Antonio was very happy to come to Cornerstone’s V.B.S. There was excitement in the air, the mariachis were playing, people were running around, and everybody looked so happy! I smiled to myself rejoicing at the fact that Cornerstone always goes all out. When Ms. Kelly saw Antonio, she ran to him and welcomed him with a big hug and a smile. Antonio was delighted to be there.

That afternoon on our way home he told me ALL about his day. Since he was sitting in the back seat and I was driving, it was hard for me to understand what he was saying, so I had to stop him several times and had him repeat what he said.

On Wednesday afternoon, Ms. Kelly informed me of what had happened that day in the chapel, how the Holy Spirit had moved very powerfully, how Pastor Brett had taken his time to pray for the children, how he had spent time praying specifically for Antonio’s healing, and she gave me Antonio’s right ear hearing aid. Everybody seemed very touched and excited about Antonio’s healing.

On our way back home, he told me ALL about his day, and this time I noticed something different…I understood everything he was saying! I didn’t have to stop him in the middle of a sentence to have him repeat it or to say it louder.

I called my husband right away and told him Antonio had a surprise for him at home. That night as we were having dinner, as usual, everybody wanted to talk and share about their day. But, NOBODY noticed Antonio was wearing only one hearing aid. Later I asked my husband if he had noticed anything different and he said “no.”

The Call

Posted on May 8, 2008

This post is unique. I hope to start using this blog as a testimony page of the things God is doing in my life and the people around me.

This morning during my quiet time with the Lord, I felt the presence of God and it was heavy. As I continued to worship I stretched out on the floor calling out for more. All of a sudden the phone rings and I contemplated whether or not to answer. As I turned and picked up the phone, I read the caller ID:

The Call I answered and no one replied. The next thing I knew I was back on the floor overwhelmed with his presence. Seconds later my wife called and I was able to share my experience.

I believe God is bringing Revival greater than Pensacola and the great moves of the past. But the question He’s asking is who will answer the call.

Lord, I’ve answered! Use me! Send Revival!
